About Mr. Happy Bird!
Our Story
Our brand centers on a joyful character—Mr. Happy Bird!—created by my mother, Rita.
Rita was a talented glass artist and painter who expressed her creativity in many forms: needlepoint, sewing, refinishing antiques, painting, glasswork, and even remodeling her home. She was always creating—and always bringing joy to the world around her.
When Alzheimer’s disease made it too difficult for her to continue working with glass, she returned to painting. Although the illness eventually made it hard for her to create, her passion for sharing joy through art never faded.
Our signature logo—Mr. Happy Bird himself—is perfectly imperfect, just as Rita designed him. He’s a reflection of her spirit: vibrant, lighthearted, and full of love. Every brushstroke tells a story of resilience, imagination, and joy.
Our mission is to spread happiness through art, foster emotional connection, and raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease.
Rita was not only an extraordinary artist, but also a loving mother, grandmother, wife, and friend. Her artwork—including the ever-cheerful Mr. Happy Bird!—is her parting gift to the world.
